We opened our doors to the community in April 1953, and every day since, we have been serving the people of Monterey County with high-quality care and compassion. As our facility grew from a rural district hospital to a comprehensive care system, we have expanded beyond a place to visit for emergencies to a future-facing organization with a greater focus on the benefits of public health and individual well-being.

A highly qualified and dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and clinical and nonclinical staff drive our culture of ongoing improvement, continually raising the bar in our quest for excellence. The new brand of Salinas Valley Health supports broader awareness of our belief that good health is the foundation of a thriving community – and that community well-being is fundamental to individual well-being.

The Evolution of Our Logo

The new logo that accompanied our 2023 brand launch of Salinas Valley Health is a modernized evolution of our legacy logo harkening back to the early history of our hospital. The center of the logo represents a coming together in the pursuit of optimal health by our patients, their families, our community and Salinas Valley Health. The four arms of the symbol combine to create a plus sign or cross – an iconic emblem for health. All points of the arms stretch outward, reflective of our outreach to the community. The upper arms reflect growth, while the lower arms represent our deep roots in the region.
