One of Aspire’s greatest strengths is simplifying the Medicare process – making it easier to understand and access the services you need. Aspire brings together the county’s four hospitals, more than 700 local doctors and other providers to deliver coordinated and personalized care.
In addition to Medicare Advantage products and teaming up with Blue Shield of California, Aspire now offers a low-cost, high-quality health maintenance organization (HMO) commercial benefits plan for Monterey County residents. The new Blue Shield Trio HMO is based on the nonprofit health plan’s nationally recognized accountable care organization. One of its goals is to transform healthcare statewide. Trio HMO brings community health advocates and expanded mental health support for Monterey County. The high-value option is the first widely available HMO in the county.
In addition to a robust array of health services from prevention to acute care, features of the Trio HMO plan include:
- Live support from registered nurses, health coaches, social workers, pharmacists and more
- $0 copay for virtual medical and behavioral health appointments
- Blue Shield’s Wellvolution platform for digital health and wellness apps
- Meal delivery and non-emergency transportation for qualifying members recovering from serious illness
